London, England (July 9, 2012) – Custom Saddlery is pleased to announce that many of their sponsored riders will be competing in the 2012 Olympic Games in London – and they wish each and every rider the best of luck! Some of the biggest names in the dressage world compete in saddles made by Custom Saddlery, makers of handcrafted custom-fit dressage, jumping and event saddles, including American riders Steffen Peters, Tina Konyot, Heather Blitz, Caroline Roffman, David Blake, Kathleen Raine and Shawna Harding. Following a fantastic showing of Custom Saddlery riders at the USEF Festival of Champions, which also served as the 2012 U.S. Olympic Dressage Team selection trials, Peters, Konyot and Blitz will represent the United States in London. “We focus on fitting our saddles to both horse and rider, and nothing could be more exciting for us than to see our riders competing on the world stage in London,” said Cary Wallace, President of Custom Saddlery. “We are not limited to just U.S. riders competing in the Olympics,” Wallace said. “We are thrilled to announce that Dutch based and born Moroccan rider Yessin Rahmouni has qualified as an individual rider for the 2012 Olympic Games. He will be riding Floresco NRW, owned by Moroccan Princess Lalla Amina. We wish Yessin the best of luck, will be cheering him on the entire way and are pleased that he will be riding in a Custom Saddle.”

Wallace said the competitions leading up to the Olympic team announcements were very exciting. “Steffen lived up to his reputation at the Festival of Champions and clinched a spot on the American team by winning the Grand Prix division with Legolas. Tina and Calecto V cruised into the second team spot, scoring an impressive 80.149% in one of the tests. Heather and Paragon were chosen as the U.S. Team alternates after putting in a solid performance, quite an accomplishment for Paragon as this is his first season at Grand Prix,” Wallace said.

Other international dressage riders who compete in Custom Saddles include Jennifer Hoffman, Johan Hamminga, Endel Ots, Sue Blinks, Jennifer Sekreve, Alexandra Duncan, Annemiek Vincourt, Kristel Bodewes, Engie Kwakkel, Jordy van Wijnen, Jan Peter Weenink, Sheela van Bregt, Sanne Gilbers, Stal Coomans, Kim Thijssen, Gabrielle Rost, stal ten Wolde, Matty Marissink, Lynne Maas, Ingeborg Klooster and Tommie Visser.

Custom Saddlery makes a wide range of styles to accommodate countless horse and rider combinations and in addition to their own high level of research and design, Custom Saddlery is dedicated to listening to the input of riders and trainers. “With our state-of-the-art facilities, qualified personnel and combined knowledge of listening to riders and trainers, we are able to offer a great selection of the finest dressage saddles available,” Wallace said. “By listening to riders and trainers we can continue to provide new models, styles and designs for maintaining our position as the top choice for dressage saddles in the market.”
