Cindy and Eliza currently have fourteen horses in the barn, four of which belong to Cindy. In 2009 Cindy is showing Onno, a 17.1hh, dark bay 1996 Dutch gelding by Ferro, at Intermediaire 1. Onno was imported from Holland by Belinda Nairn as a young horse and was owned by Ann Villani until her untimely death in December of 2003. Cindy describes him as a very sensitive, willing horse who shows a lot of talent for everything that is asked of him.
She is also showing Siebe, also Dutch, also by Ferro, at First Level, and Windsor (Hannoverian/TB, by Wummestern) at 3rd Level.
Eliza became a USDF certified instructor in November of 2004, (training level to second level at the time), possibly the youngest to do so, at 22. Today she is certified to teach through Fourth level and is very busy teaching, training and showing. Her own horses are competing successfully: Graffini Grace (Dutch, by Graf Genius) is at the Prix St. Georges level and Lancer, (Dutch by Edelman) at Grand Prix. She is also busy training young horses and her own upper level horses.
Cindy said, “Eliza loves teaching and people seem to love her. She's becoming quite popular. She is, I must say, particularly good at starting horses from scratch. She's brave, calm, gentle, and effective in gaining the horses' trust. She's started over 20 young horses and is getting quite a reputation for it. She has taken several from scratch into the show ring and done very well with them.”
