Never ones to sit still, the Chardon Team at Chardon Paardonsport is adjusting to the world wide quarantine in Den Hoorn, Netherlands (near Delft) With a busy stable of over 100 horses, boarders, and a full fledged Equestrian School, all is on hold while they ride and drive through the new normal. No problem to get all the horses worked, just put them altogether.
While an eight horse hitch won't come close to his father, Isjbrand Chardon's world record of 30 in 1993, the reigning European Four-In-Hand Champion, Bram Chardon found a way to get eight horses worked while keeping up with a full schedule.
No problem for Isjbrand Chardon who in 1993 set the world record for driving over 30 horses in harness. See the video below.
We almost scored a Corona Coup here in the USA. With Bram Chardon and one of the school's top students Quint van Rijswijk here to help with our ponies for Live Oak International, we brought them to the airport March 10, just before the whole world shut down. We almost had them captive.
