For us at Brook Ledge it is not just about preserving horses to keep our own business viable – it is about preserving the the equestrian life in Marion County which is not possible without the land and lifestyle equestrian sport brings to this region. The unique quality of the land and mineral based soil can only be found in three regions in the world. Once land has gone to highway or a developer, there is no getting it back. It is critical to take the steps now in order to preserve what is there. 

Brook Ledge has owned a small 20 acre farm in Ocala Florida since 1995. Multiple training centers for racing and diverse equestrian disciplines, rehabilitation, layup and quarantine facilities, breeding farms, hobby farms, veterinary clinics, retirement facilities, backyard companions, and horse rescue, contribute to the growing numbers of  80,000 horses and over 1,200 horse farms. The biggest challenge for real estate companies in this region is finding places to sell. As soon as something is listed, it’s sold.
