Australian’s Boyd Exell is like the Isabell Werth of the driving sport – even if there are moments when others are better, he always returns to the top. He impressively demonstrated once again today in the Prize of Martello Immobilienmanagement GmbH & Co. KG at the CHIO Aachen, how four-in-hand dressage competitions should be driven.

Finishing on a score of 33.33 minus points, the reigning World Champion, Boyd Exell (AUS) dominated the Prize of Martello Immobilienmanagement GmbH & Co. KG. The class is simultaneously the first part of the combined team and individual classification of the four-in-hand drivers. So, Exell is in a good starting position to claim his tenth individual victory.

Mareike Harm from Germany also put in a top performance, which was rewarded with a score of 38.85 minus points. That meant second place in the interim results, followed by last year’s winner from the Netherlands, the driving sport legend, Ijsbrand Chardon (38.99).

The Dutch are currently in the lead in the team classification. With a total interim score of 83.97 minus points they are lying ahead of Germany (85.50) and Australia (95.63).
