The Dressage Foundation is pleased to announce that the 2018 Veronica Holt Dressage Technical Delegate Grant has been awarded to Beth Davidson of Plant City, FL.
Beth will be using the $500 Grant to apprentice at the Regional Championships in Lexington, KY in October, followed by additional competitions in early 2019.
“I was so very lucky to know Veronica and learn from her at the USDF TD Clinics,” said Beth. “Veronica knew well the challenges that many of us face when we are apprenticing for our licenses and promotions. We must travel outside our Region and apprentice at multi-day shows at our own expense. I own a farm in Florida, which adds additional costs while I am traveling. I will be utilizing the Grant funding to pursue my ‘R’ Dressage TD license. My thanks to the donors and TDF for administering so many great programs for riders, amateurs and licensed officials in dressage.”
Up to $500 is available each year, to be used by the recipient to pay for costs associated with completing apprenticeship requirements at competitions or attending required TD clinics.
As the fund balance grows, the amount and number of grants may increase. The online grant application is available on The Dressage Foundation’s website, with a deadline of July 1 st of each year.
