It’s been a busy and happy year for amateur rider and USDF “R” Judge candidate, Jennifer Aurilio. Recently married to Christopher Benoit, the full time medical device representative for Smith & Nephew Advanced Wound Care travels throughout the state of Florida, but still manages to ride and train six days a week. With Fruhlich, her dressagedaily horsemarket purchase, Aurilio-Benoit, won the 2009 Region 3 GAIG/USDF Amateur Prix St. Georges Championship, in a large class, working her way towards her Gold Medal after having recently been granted her “r” license. “Sue Kolstad trained the horse and sold him to me last October so I can earn my Grand Prix scores required for the "S" level judges license.” said Aurilio-Benoit.

“Sue just received her "S" designation using her Grand Prix scores with Fruhlich. My plan is to start with the Intermediaire -2 in January and then to Grand Prix to get my USDF Gold Medal.”

Aurilio-Benoit trains with Silke Rembacz and Shannon Dueck. “During the winter season I train with Silke Rembacz, a delightful person as well as an extremely gifted trainer.  She takes special pride in the success of her students and has a phenomenal talent for working with all levels of riders and horses. Jennifer also trains with year-round Wellington trainer Shannon Dueck, who recently went through a successful surgery for breast cancer.

“She smiles her way through everything with a remarkable attitude and the spirit of a true competitor.” said Jennifer. I have tremendous respect for her grit and determination to get right back to work with the horses and we are praying for a speedy recovery."

“I have been so blessed this year to earn a judges card, marry a wonderful man, work with Shannon and Silke and of course I get to ride a fantastic horse every day.  I am smiling and giddy with excitement every time I put my foot in the stirrup to mount Fruhlich.  I know how rare it is to have a good, sound horse and trainers that gel with both me and the horse so I am truly grateful!”
