SCHINDLHOF CDI4* - MANFRED & HILDE SWAROVSKI MEMORIAL SHOW

The Manfred & Hilde Swarovski Memorial Show, CDI4* Schindlhof  "Fritzens" celebrates its 25th jubilee from  June 28-30, 2019 in Austria. To be a part of this show is like being in the middle of "The Sound of Music" with horses.

Family Haim-Swarovski hosts this intimate event often a favorite for competitors, officials and visitors who often bring along family and friends. With just one competition arena nestled in the Austrian Alps, it is a Tyrolean destination, the highlight of the year for the international dressage set. Riders warm up in the indoor with Swarovski Chandeliers lighting the arena. Winners get a victory lap with crystal trimmed award blankets, and the prize trophy of the week is a rare and large Swarovski crystal. 

All participants are treated to a private tour of the Swarovski Crystal World museum, which ends in their factory sized outlet, where a competitor's wristband adds another 20% to already discounted items. The Saturday evening Gala has become a legendary event. 

Since 1994, with each successive year, the show has become the precursor to Olympic and World Equestrian Games medals highlighting  and sporting moments that have written dressage history. The judges' panel is often the foundation of upcoming Olympic and World Equestrian Games.

The world’s best dressage rider, Isabell Werth, launched the return of her magnificent mare Bella Rose to competition at CDI4* Schindlhof 2018 . Bella Rose was injured three and a half years prior, and only few people in the dressage world expected this highly talented mare to return to this top-class sport. On the occasion of her surprising comeback in the Grand Prix at Schindlhof over 550,000 visitors to the Clip My Horse live broadcast watched her return to the Schindlhof arena nestled in the Austrian Alps.

Isabell Werth chose the CDI at Schindlhof for Bella Rose's important comeback and just three months later at the FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon (USA) Werth, riding Bella Rose, became a double world champion, adding more Gold to her collection.

The European Championships in Rotterdam are the most important European event in the equestrian year will be held August 19-25. Several nations are scheduled for CDI4* Schindlhof as a qualification tournament to prepare for this Championship.

Germany will be coming to the jubilee tournament with a  strong team led by the six-time Olympia winner Isabell Werth and the Team Olympic Champion Dorothee Schneider.

A great idol of the spectators and the first winner of the Manfred & Hilde Swarovski Challenge Trophy, Victoria Max-Theurer, will be heading a strong Austrian team.The tournament hostess Evelyn Haim-Swarovski, has made a successful start at every CDI Schindlhof.

China will be sending a complete team to the 25th Manfred & Hilde Swarovski Memorial Show in preparation for the Olympic Games taking place in Tokyo in 2020. For the third time Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya will be participating a well.

Entertainment Galore

On the occasion of our Memorial Show Jean-François Pignon will be coming, who, with his 18 horses, will be presenting the best known and best performance by liberty horses in the world. Both Saturday and Sunday at midday we will be greatly pleased to view his sensational show programme.

The traditional hat competition will also be taking place on Sunday at midday; it has been carried out for a number of years also in the special category “owner with hat and dog”. The popular ORF-moderator Isabella Krassnitzer, will be moderating the hat competition.

Klaus Philipp, one of the most distinguished horse artists in the world, who has already painted portraits of many “horsenalities”.

All entrance fees and voluntary donations will benefit in equal measure both therapeutic riding and vaulting & riding for handicapped persons, as well as the organisation “Tugende Together“.

Admission is free but it is a small donation is requested, because every Euro counts.
