Adrienne Lyle, the 23-year-old from Ketchum, ID rode in the CDI Grand Prix Division with two horses. Wizard, the 10-year-old Oldenburg gelding by Weltmeyer and Felix, the Hannoverian gelding by Fabriano, are both owned by Peggy Thomas of River Grove Farm. Lyle, who started training with Debbie McDonald as a working student in 2005 is now an assistant trainer for McDonald’s supporters, Peggy and Parry Thomas.

According to Lyle, she started riding Felix while McDonald was at the 2008 Olympics with Brentina. “I was riding and exercising Felix while Debbie was gone in Hong Kong. When Debbie returned, she watched me ride him and was very pleased with the way I rode him. Since then, she and the Thomas’ offered me the opportunity to show him.” Lyle is in an enviable position as this season she is competing two top quality Grand Prix horses in the CDI circuit. This provides her this viable international Grand Prix experience.
