The 50th Running of the NRHA Futurity Continues with Day Three of Exciting Competition

Oklahoma City, Okla. - The 2015 National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Futurity held its third day of competition on Saturday and included the first go, second section of the more than $500,000 added Open Futurity, plus ancillary classes for Limited Open and Rookie Professional riders.

Even though the weather conditions were icy cold around Oklahoma City, the arena action was hot at the 50th Running of the NRHA Futurity! Silver Spurs Equine had a reason to celebrate as both of their horses posted the two top scores of the day. Brian Bell and sorrel stallion Ruf Lil Magnum (Magnum Chic Dream x Dunit A Lil Ruf x Lil Ruf Peppy) received a score of 224.5 followed by Andrea Fappani with another sorrel stallion, Smart Shiners Spook (Smart Spook x Ebony Shines x Shining Spark), marking 223.

The third highest score of the day came early in the morning when Franco Bertolani rode sorrel stallion Inferno Sixty Six (Gunnatrashya x Snip O Gun x One Gun) to a score of 222 for owner Slide or Die LLC. Equaling the 222 was Jordan Larson with sorrel stallion Gunstep (Wimpys Little Step x Snow Gun x Colonels Smoking Gun) owned by Equine Plus.
