Gladstone, NJ– It was a patriotic weekend at the United States Equestrian Team Headquarters in Gladstone, New Jersey, and 2kGrey’s riders and designers made their mark at the historic location with top performances and of course the best and most patriotic in equestrian fashion. During the Festival, the top American riders gathered to vie for the title of National Champion in a number of divisions from the large and small tours to the FEI Ponies. For the Grand Prix riders, the stakes were set even higher as the top 8 would continue to Europe for a shot at competing at the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France. One of these riders gunning for a spot on the US Team for the World Equestrian Games is Olympian Tina Konyot and her stallion, Calecto V. Konyot’s elegance and exceptional performances in the arena made her a natural choice to be sponsored by 2kGrey, and in fact 2kGrey’s Calecto V full seat riding pants are named after Konyot’s stunning black stallion. She and Calecto finished the US Festival of Champions with a 73.038%, putting her in the running to compete in Europe for a spot on the US Dressage Team for the World Equestrian Games.

Konyot was joined at the Festival by 2kGrey’s other sponsored rider, Dawn White O’Connor, who rode Carla Hayes’ Aristo in the small tour championship. The pair put in a number of impressive rides, including finishing the Intermediate 1 Freestyle with a 71.650.

2kGrey’s fashionista and co-founder Meryl Ranzer also made the trip over from nearby New York City to be on hand at the Championships, where 2kGrey’s Olympic full seat riding pants were the perfect accessory for rider or spectator. Originally designed in conjuction with the 2012 London Olympics, they feature 2kGrey’s classic denim style and patriotic American flag design. Two of 2kGrey's retailers were also on had at Gladstone, ShowChic dressage boutique and Tack & Rider.

“2kGrey couldn’t be happier to support Tina and Dawn as they compete to be the best in the nation,” said Ranzer. “The historic showgrounds at the USET Headquarters was the perfect place to host such an event, and we wish Tina all the luck in the world as she travels to compete in Europe. Everyone at 2kGrey will be cheering on the US Dressage Team during the World Equestrian Games!”

2kGrey equestrian apparel is the result of a passion for riding and fashion. In 2011, Grand Prix rider and entreprenuer Kris Pinto joined forces with fashion industry veteran Meryl Ranzer to create a chic, sturdy and sophisticated line of riding pants. The line was further refined and performance tested with 2kGrey advisor and professional dressage rider and trainer, Karen Lipp. The end result is a line of fabulous equestrian pants and jackets that can easily go from the saddle to the street and look great every step of the way. The collection is machine washable, and proudly "Made In The USA.” Learn more about 2kGrey at www.2kGrey.com.
