Atlanta, GA - In response to the unexpected loss of grand prix show jumper and international eventing rider Marilyn Little's fantastic partner, RF Smoke on the Water, 2kGrey is renaming its black full seat breech, formerly called the Koko, after the great grey gelding. The horse, who had carried Little to fifth-place just the week before in the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, had to be euthanized following a freak accident in his stall at their summer base at Raylyn Farms in Maryland. "We were so sad to hear that Smoke on the Water had tragically died. Our hearts went out to Marilyn, and we wanted to honor the memory of her wonderful horse,” said 2kGrey cofounders Mery Ranzer and Kris Pinto. The Smoke on the Water full seat breech is joined by The Firefly in burgundy and the Gr8ful in olive green in offering a full seat, five-pocket, stretch denim riding pant with a tapered leg and 32” inseam for boots or shoes. Featuring high-performance, stretch denim and a Toray Ultrasuede full seat, 2kGrey riding pants are the ultimate in equestrian fashion, whether its in the show arena or out on the town.
2kGrey equestrian apparel is the result of a passion for riding and fashion. In 2011, Grand Prix rider and entreprenuer Kris Pinto joined forces with fashion industry veteran Meryl Ranzer to create a chic, sturdy and sophisticated line of riding pants. The line was further refined and performance tested with 2kGrey advisor and professional dressage rider and trainer, Karen Lipp. The end result is a line of fabulous equestrian pants and jackets that can easily go from the saddle to the street and look great every step of the way. The collection is machine washable, and proudly "Made In The USA.” Learn more about 2kGrey at www.2kGrey.com.
