Atlanta, GA - “A good seat is key to everything. Without it, your aids can't work properly. It all happens through the seat,” said 2kGrey Best Seat Award winner Mary Bahniuk Lauritsen while after accepting the stylish riding pant company's recognition for demonstrating the 'best seat in the house' at the 2014 Adequan GDF12 CDI5*/3* presented by Diamante Farms. Bahniuk Lauritsen wowed Wellington's Week 12 showgoers with her performances on Nicole Polaski's 16-hand, black Dutchbred (Special D x Formateur) gelding, Ansgar, nailing what the rider and trainer could only happily describe as “clean” tests. “I've been riding and training this horse since he was five. From First level to this, today, his first CDI,” she said of her soon-to-be nine year-old partner. “His Prix St Georges was pretty good for a first time, green horse, going up against the big guns.” Their first CDI-level Prix St George delivered a 64.386% score of approval from the Florida ground jury, and their FEI Intermediare 1 the following day, earned consistent approval: 65.307%.

“We wish you the best of luck as you work towards Grand Prix level and qualifying for the Small Tour Nationals,” said Meryl Ranzer of 2kGrey as she presented the award and gift certificate for a pair of 2kGrey white full seat breeches.

“He could be a great Pan Am Games horse,” Ansgar's rider added. “He's pretty special.”

Wellington's best-dressed dressage riders know 2kGrey riding jeans are pretty special, too, delivering cross-over chic from show time to party time with a flattering fit and edgy detailing.
