2014 Young Horse Show Series Wrap Up From Cav-I-Farm in Ocala

The Young Horse Show Series started its 2014 tour in Ocala, Florida on March 11th.  Cav-I-Farm was host to over 40 young horses that participated in the event. There was a large variety of horses for the event which was a perfect demonstration of what the Young Horse Show Series is all about. With 9 horses competing in the Yearling In hand /At Liberty Class, Improv (UB40/Rousseau) bred and owned by S. Lieb, held the winning score of 8.85. Topping the 2 Year Old In Hand /At Liberty class was Flambeau YF (Florestan/Quaterback) bred by Judy Yancey and owned by Tyra Vernon with a score of 7.98. Daphne (Highlife’s Diamond Stud/De Niro) owned and bred by Leslie Pollington scored the highest in the 3-Year-Old class with an unbeatable score of 9.51. The final In Hand /At Liberty class for the Ocala show was won by Centina (Cassini II/Cheenook) bred by L&S Fried and owned by Highridge Farm, LLC with a score of 7.92.Always a spectator favorite, the jump chute division got off to a strong start with the 2-Year-Old class. Topping the charts was Just So Cav-I (Stakkato Gold/Amour Parfait) with a leading score of 8.04. The top score for the 3 Year Old Jump Chute was Bey Shutter Diplomacy Cav-I (Sir Shutterfly/Amour Parfait), bred and owned by Cav-I-Farm with a score of 8.16. Centina (Cassini II/Cheenook) bred by L&S Fried and owned by Highridge Farm, LLC won the 4 Year Old class with a score of 8.21.

Suitability for Sport Under Saddle had a number of talented participants. In the 3-Year-Old class, For the Hell of It (Findus) bred and owned by Jennifer Dachton was the top scorer with a 7.78. Centina (Cassini II/Cheenook) took another win in the 4-Year-
old Flat and Over Fences classes with a 7.4 under saddle, and 7.97 over fences. Eaglea (Contester/Rubinstein) bred and owned by S. Lieb scored a 7.95 to win the 5-Year-Old Flat Class. Longchamp (Lotus T/Merano I), bred and owned by Andras Scieberth was the highest scoring participant in the 5-Year-Old Over Fences class to wrap up the day with a 7.31 score.

New for 2014 are the YHS Dressage tests. Winning the 4-year-old dressage test was Linkous T (Lotus T/Landrider) bred and owned by Andras Szieberth with a score of 62.7. The 5-year-old dressage test was dominated by Sundar Lind (Stedinger/Hohenstein) bred by Jennifer Lind, owned by Tyra Vernon with a score of 79.6. The dressage tests were overall a huge success to the show!

The 2014 tour started off as a huge success.
