With her coach Ashley Holzer off to her son Harry's graduation from Harvard, and Carl Hester in England, Katherine Bateson Chandler had a little trepidation traveling to Ocala from Wellington to compete the lovely mare (by Connaisseur x Krack C) in her second only CDI.

The half halt is a fundamental concept in riding that helps to rebalance the horse, create more impulsion, maintain rhythm, and prepare them for the next movement – whether that’s a canter pirouette, an extended trot, or a big triple bar.
