This is big news! Vianne (Vitalis x Raureif/Ramiro`s Bube), a 7-year old US-bred Hanoverian mare, owned by NorCordia USA and bred by Catherine Haddad, has been selected to represent the US at the WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Horses August 3rd-6th in Ermelo.

Vianne is the product of three generations of Catherine’s breeding program, starting with the foundation broodmare, Elfenschein (Figaro – Goldstern) that Catherine purchased from Ewald Grotelueschen in Germany. Catherine lived, trained, bred horses and competed for the USA in Germany for twenty years. Vianne is the granddaughter of the first foal she bred in Germany.

Vianne was raised at Hilltop Farm as a young horse and moved to Catherine’s farm in New Jersey at the age of 3 years where she was started by her current rider, Hope Beerling of Australia. Hope came to Catherine in 2019 as an apprentice young horse rider. Catherine coached this team to the Reserve Championship at the USEF Festival of Champions in 2021 for the 5 Year-Old Horses. Hope and Vianne are the culmination of Catherine’s 40 years of experience in training horses to Grand Prix, competing in the international arena and teaching other riders to do the same.

Catherine remarked, “Vianne is the culmination of four generations of careful breeding and a lifetime of training experience. Her capacity for world class movement is remarkable but it is her temperament and rideability that will take her to the top of the sport!”

This year Catherine decided to prepare this pair for Ermelo by carefully planning a series of qualifications to reach this goal. Vianne has produced two scores above 80% in the FEI 7yr old Final Test and in fact, the highest score in the USA with 82.6%. Famous for her high marks in submission and prospective, this mare does her bloodline proud with her incredible trainability!
