The Grand Finale for the Dressage Affaire was a Saturday Brunch at ringside in the CDI arena. The program opened with a four man military salute to the US flag as KP Events’ vice president Nikki Pecorelli sang the National Anthem, and later featured the FEI Junior and Young Rider and Grand Prix Freestyles. During a break in the schedule the crowd was thoroughly entertained by announcer Brian O’Connor’s explanation and demonstration of the movements of dressage. Riding his inflatable horse, and dressed in top hat and shad belly, Brian demonstrated active versus labored canter pirouettes, piaffe and passage along with very amusing running commentary. To punctuate his performance, he introduced to the crowd, hosts of the show and the brunch, Kim and Nikki, whose appearance passaging with Brian elicited a standing ovation from the crowd.Peters and Blinks “Rock On”
