Merrick will explain that there are some hidden challenges that need to overcome in order to meet with success daily and then learn what can be done to overcome those challenges and enjoy higher levels of success on the path toward mastery. Regardless of the role one plays in the world of horses – as rider, competitor, trainer, horse owner, or dedicated enthusiast –all share a love for the animals, and as their stewards, everyone should strive every day to practice good horsemanship. Like all things in life that are practiced, one must always strive to improve and become masterful in how results are produced. This seminar will not only provide valuable insights into the nature of one’s effectiveness in working with horses, but will also explain how those insights translate over to those areas of daily life that are spent away from the horse – in relationships, with other interests, and anywhere that one has a commitment to producing extraordinary results. Please join Merrick for this thought-provoking seminar that is guaranteed to make a difference in how one sees their relationship with the horses (and people) who share their lives. The “Mastering Good Horsemanship” seminars (presented by Markel Insurance) will be held Thursday, March 31 at 4:30 pm, and Saturday, April 2 at 10:30 am and 4:30 pm next to the show office. Merrick shares the insights and experience he as grained from over 40 years of riding, working with top trainers throughout the world, and lessons learned in his role as USEF’s Team Leader for Dressage at the 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games and the 2007 Pan American Games and the 2008 Olympic Games.
