“You have to love your horse and your work together. The technique must be with expression, where the horse wants to give it to you without any tension,” said by Daniel Martin Dockx. Two members of Spain’s London Olympic Dressage Team were special guests last week in Florida. While here to promote the USPRE breed at the Global Dressage Festival, February 13th-17, they spent the mornings coaching the Lendon Gray Youth and Young Riders in the Winter Intensive Training Program. This was the first visit to Wellington for Juan Manuel Munoz, the celebrated rider of Fuego de Cardenas, the gray PRE stallion who won the hearts of Americans at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, and who finished 10th overall at the London Olympics. Juan Manuel’s teammate, Daniel Martin Dockx, rode PRE stallion Grandioso III of Hampton Green Farm for Spain in London, less than a year after they were named Grand Prix Champions of Spain. Fifteen young riders from across the country who have been selected by Lendon Gray to take part in the intensive riding instruction program in Wellington, Florida had private riding lessons by either Daniel Maritn Dockx or Jaun Manuel Munoz.
Daniel Martin Dockx riding distinctions include: Champion of Spain, 6 Year Old Horses, Champion of Spain, Developing Horses, Champion of Spain, Grand Prix, Reserve Champion of Spain, 4 Year Old Horses, Reserve Champion of Spain, Developing Horses, Champion of Andalucia, Intermediare I, Champion of Andalucia, 6 Year Old Horses, Three time Reserve Champion of Andalucia, Member of the Spanish National Team in Rotterdam, Aachen and London Olympics 2012
