Monday, March 4, 2013 | Mary Phelps
Visit the ShowRingShine Booth at the Dressage Affaire and spend some time learning how shiny your boots can be from the best. Donate $10 or more to help the Region 7 JR/YR Team for every time your boots are polished. A special “Boot Shiner” will be at the booth all day Thursday, March 7th and Friday, March 8th to shine your boots! Designed by Shannon Peters, FEI competitor and popular coach
• To create a mirror shine on new or old boots
• To breathe life into cracked, dull or stiff boots
• To protect your boots’ rich, supple leather
A national championship competitor, teacher, and coach to her dressage Olympian husband Steffen Peters, Shannon is often asked how she does it. No magic, no secret ingredients, instead a simple system that will bring a shine to your boots and a proud smile to your face. And now Shannon shares her formula in ShowRingShine, The Boot Care Kit, the cleaning and polishing system that she has given the same attention and care she gives to her own boots, to her riding and to the care of her horses.
The 2013 FEI North American Junior & Young Rider Program (NAJYRC) features 80 Young Riders and Junior Young Riders from across the nation. The riders spend the whole year qualifying at local shows for a spot on one of the teams to travel to Kentucky for the Championships. Region 7 will have many youth who participate in this program, as many as twelve will participate in Junior level and the Young Rider Level. Shannon believes in this program, “It’s important to us to encourage and support our local youth to reach their goals!” She continued, “Donate $10 for every shoe shine at the Show Ring Shine ‘Boot Cleaning’ Fundraiser. We will have someone all day Thursday and Friday at the tent. We are asking for a $10 donation for the Region 7 Jr/Yr each time your boots are polished.”
