With the Markel/USEF National Young Horse Championships 2014 and the Lamplight Equestrian Center approaching August 21-24, horses and riders from across the United States are en-route Dressage Trainer Agata Rekucka will just need to go down the road from her training headquarters at Cranewood Farm, North. Rekucka qualified Solaris four-year-old Hanoverian gelding by Sarkozy x Donnerhall bred in Germany by Henning Schulze and owned by Kristin and Stephen Cooper from Wayne IL. “I smile every time we canter because it feels so light and airy like he never touches the ground,” Agata told DressageDaily. “He s a super young horse with amazing feel, power and talent.” Solaris was imported from Germany end of April 2014. Just three weeks later he scored 81.2% and won his class at the May Lamplight Show in the USDF four-year-old division.

“Solaris is a social horse, very curious, brave and loves attention,” she added. “His favorite time is his grooming time by his groom Amy MacPherson and his massage time with Lauri Roser.”
Looking forward to a great future as he is getting better, Rekucka notes he continues to get stronger and more with each day of training. “Solaris is a hard-working horse and always gives 110%, riding him is such a pleasure. I am looking forward to developing him up the levels and feel very fortunate to be able to ride him thanks to Kristin and Stephen Cooper.” The Coopers, former owners of Lamplight Equestrian Center are responsible for establishing the exquisite location, just made for the National Championships hosted there since 2010. In 2013 Nina Koloseike Moore purchased the facility and added major upgrades in footing, stabling while carrying on the tradition of hospitality and camaraderie experienced by all who travel to events there.
“I am very happy to have qualified for the Markel/USEF National Young Horse Championships and can’t wait to show him there,” said Agata Rekucka.
