The main stadium filled with horses and top hats as the four-in-hand drivers entered with teams and grooms to revive their awards in the Prize of the Martello Immobilienmanagement GmbH & Co. KG, the first competition in the Nations’ Cup of the Four-in-Hand Drivers and the individual classification in the Prize of the Richard Talbot Family.

Boyd Exell, the Australian driver, who lives in the Netherlands, secured the victory in the dressage with his team on a score of 37.99 minus points. Exell, who is undefeated so far this season, is well-known for proving that he is in a class of his own in all three driving disciplines.

The individual driver from the USA, Chester Weber, is currently lying in second place with less that a full point separating him from the multiple World Champion.

The three Dutch team members, Koos de Ronde (46.13), Ijsbrand Chardon (48.96) and Theo Timmerman (49.20) are off to a big start in the Nations Cup Team Competition. .

Saturday will determine the second phase the Marathon which begins at 1:30..
