Before focusing on dressage kurs to music, Cees Slings and Victor Kerkhof already built up an extensive career in the production of music for television and theatre. They are experienced composers, arrangers, and producers, having workd the past 15 years for international production companies such as John de Mol Produkties, Endemol GmbH, RTL Television, ZDF, Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel & Disney Cinema. They arranged music for national and international television drama, comedy shows, wildlife programmes, and documentaries. TV shows with musical leaders and underscores composed by Slings & Kerkhof were broadcasted in more than 52 countries.

Cees Slings is a member of the RTV-group of BUMA/Stemra and designs musical post-production. He was highly involved in the new development of the repartition of TV and film scores. Most recently his interests have moved towards directing short clips and videos.

For their productions Victor and Cees work in Slings' own studio, which is fully equipped with state of the art samplers, computers, sound modules and mixing consoles. For major assignments they will also use the Bulletsound Studios in Nederhorst den Bergh (NED) or the CTS studios in London (GBR).

The composers’ duo has a good working relationship with the Metropole Orchestra, The Royal Navy Band, Circle Ensemble and musicians from The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and The Residential Orchestra. In 1998 and 1999 several compositions were performed live and on television by The Metropole Orchestra and Het Orkest van het Oosten, conducted by Jaap van Zweden (AVRO).

In January 1999 Slings and Kerkhof became the official NOC*NSF composers for the Sydney Olympic Games in corporation with The Metropole Orchestra, NOS and NOC*NSF. During the winter of 1999-2000 they composed The Overture Sail 2000 for the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
