Last fall Tami spent three months in Germany, training with Michael Klimke and her two new boys: her super Swedish grand prix horse, Bacchus de Light, and Rush Hour, her extravagant chestnut gelding soon to be turning heads in the show ring. Tami and the boys were joined by two of their favorite girls in Europe, too. Tami’s American coach, Betsy Steiner and Tami’s ten-year-old Hanoverian mare, Fabia, also made the training trek to Europe. Tami debuted Bacchus in late February at the Zada Florida Dressage Classic. And while the partnership was not in perfect sync, it was clear to the spectators and judges alike that this is going to be a formidable pair in the near future. The plan to debut Rush Hour in the Prix St. Georges and the Intermediaire levels at the Palm Beach Derby was unfortunately derailed by a minor accident that left Tami with a sprained hand just days before the show. She was forced to scratch, but was still at the show to cheer on her peers and do what could only be classified as some “grand prix” level shopping! Read More... |
