Getting Around

Shuttle CentralWe go from place to place in shuttles and in many ways the shuttle service works quite well, especially back and forth to our hotel. Yet going to the Endurance event as a group no one seemed to know where to get the shuttles back and forth to the venues. If you tracked them down everything went very smoothly.

The good thing is that once the endurance was finished all the other events are in walking distance and we no longer need shuttles to get anywhere.

The arena setup is unique in that the dressage arena was created in the center of the Main Arena and any of the other events will have their obstacles or jumps set up around this, but the arena is so large that this won’t be a problem. There are two other stadiums as well for vaulting, reining and for portions of the various competitions. For instance, Eventing Dressage was held in stadium 2 on Thursday while Vaulting took place in Stadium 3 and nothing was happening in the Main Arena.

What is great about Aachen is that everything is within walking distance. With so much to cover this is truly welcome especially on days with multiple events.

The cross country and driving marathon course are on the opposite side of the Main Stadium and in walking distance.
