U.S. Selects Eventing Team
The United States has selected its team
of four for the Olympic Three-Day Event squad as well as three starters
for the individual eventing competition at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
The team three-day event horse inspection will be held on Friday, September
15 with team three-day event competition beginning Saturday, September
16, 2000. The Three-Day Event team is as follows:
US Three-Day Olympic Team
Nina Fout of Middleburg, VA riding 3 Magic Beans
David O'Connor of The Plains, VA riding Giltedge
Karen O'Connor of The Plains, VA riding Prince Panache
Linden Wiesman of Bluemont, VA riding Anderoo
Individuals
Julie Black of Newnan, GA riding Hyde Park Corner
Robert Costello of Southern Pines, NC and Hamilton, MA riding Chevalier
David O'Connor of The Plains, GA riding Custom Made
Hannigan ridden by Abigail Lufkin is out of contention after several
refusals at a local competition this past weekend. Also out of contention
due to injury is Lukfin's horse Jacob Two Two. Rattle N Hum, ridden
by David O'Connor and Special Attention ridden by Bruce (Buck) Davidson,
Jr. have incurred injuries which have put them out of the games. >
