U.S. Has a Hurdle To Overcome Standing Fourth After Show Jumping

While the Australians are thrilled with their placement, two falls on cross-country by Linden Wiesman have put the U.S. team in a difficult position to overcome. They stand fourth behind Australia (114.20), Great Britain (127) and New Zealand (151.20) with a team total of 160.80.

For the U.S. there is a keen interest in the Australian team as well, since Phillip Dutton, a member of the team lives and competes in the United States. Dutton agreed about the crowd but also wanted to recognize that it wasn't just them. "We had a great support team," he commented.

The Australians are hopeful they'll maintain their positioning. The Americans are hoping they can climb up at least one position in the present rankings. The show jumping will be the deciding factor.
