Donations for a region's NAYRC team expenses can be tax deductible. However, the following rules must be followed.

All donations must be sent to USDF. The checks must be made out to:"USDF Region #__"
The check's memo field should read, "NAYRC Team donation".
The check should be sent to USDF along with a Regional Account Deposit form.
The check will then be deposited in that region's regional bank account, with the amount designated for the region's AYR fund.
If requested, USDF will send a receipt to the donor.

Any funds donated through USDF regional bank accounts will be designated for expenses incurred for that region's NAYRC team as a whole, not for particular individuals.

Regardless of who procured the donation, donations may not be designated for a particular individual, but must be used by all team members. To designate donations for a particular individual violates IRS guidelines and could jeopardize USDF's 501(c)(3) status.
