Santa Barbara, California Site for the American Vaulting Association National Championships 2000 The American Vaulting Association has announced that The Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara, California will be the location of the American Vaulting Association National Championships, August 23-27, 2000. This is an American Horse Shows Association (AHSA) recognized event. In addition to the regular competition schedule, there will be a Saturday evening charity dinner to benefit the Hearts Adaptive Therapeutic Riding Program. Hearts Adaptive has provided adaptive horseback riding and small animal therapy for "other-abled" individuals in Santa Barbara since 1984. The dinner will be followed by the Gold Individual Kur (freestyle) competition, the A Team Kur competition, and the Open Pas de Deux competition. This thrilling competition will include Devon Maitozo, World Champion, 1998 World Equestrian Games; Kerith Lemon, World Reserve Champion, 1998 World Equestrian Games; and the Barronsgate A Team. This team and individuals will have just represented the United States at the World Vaulting Championships in Mannheim, Germany August 3-6, 2000. General admission is available for this and other portions of the competition. Top vaulters
from around the United States will compete for American Vaulting Association
