Notes from Rio - ESPN Coverage Hi All, Hope you all have had time to check out the Lauren's photos. More to come! I'll try to get a quick reference to them worked up later. The jog is scheduled for 8:00 AM tomorrow and will be followed by the draw. Each team has decides the order their team will compete in. We should have the ride times in tomorrow's "Notes from Rio". It surely is coming up quickly! I wanted to take a minute to thank a couple of people who were a big help to Team USA ( and the other Pan Am horses and teams during the quarantine). Stephanie and Roberto, who work for Tuny Page at Stillpoint Farm, were there for us any time we needed them. I stopped by the barn today to thank them. The barn was quiet with the teams in Rio but I did get to express our thanks to Stephanie. She is following the adventure on line, too. Super article in the July 7th issue of the Chronicle of the Horse about Lauren and Sagacious. See the link to it on the Hyperion Farm Pan Am links page, along with a few other new items: http://www.hyperionfarm.com/opt6-PanAm.asp ***ESPN Desportes will be covering a the Pan Am Games. Please review the links below for more the complete ESPN coverage. The opening ceremonies will be broadcast in Spanish on ESPN Desportes. (We have it on Comcast cable channel 612) We won't be getting coverage of the dressage classes but they may cut away from one of the scheduled televised games to do a little on some of the less popular sports. The first entry I see is for 4:30 PM tomorrow afternoon. http://sports.espn.go.com/espntv/espnGuide 1. Thursday, 7/12 from Lauren Sammis of Team USA We are on our way to the venue. Its a rainy day in Brazil. Today is the last practice day before the jog. We will be going to the stable really early tomorrow for a 8:00 AM jog. Klaus has decided the order of go amongst the team. I can't tell you that for team strategy. It has been chosen to give the strongest representation for the US. After the jog, will be the draw for rides. Hopefully the US will not be the first riders. Keep your fingers crossed. Lauren Sammis That's all for today. Team USA is getting ready for the competition and is probably thinking less and less about all of us! Cordially, Judy &
