On The Scene - Midwest Dressage

Each year we add something new to our schedule, and find the most fun is when we are at regional shows, meeting new friends and traveling to new places. We went to the beautiful Paxton Farm in the spring for the USEF/Markel National Young Horse Selection Trials as the presenting sponsors. We always try to include family time in considering our show schedule. My husband JJ.’s Mom, Esther Hathaway is in Racine, Wisconsin, so we were graciously welcomed by Howard Nelson, and Lisa Froehlig at Silverwood Farm in Camp Lake, Wisconsin.

The happy campers stayed during the week at our friends John and Sue Soderberg who own a beautiful farm in Racine on the edge of the Caledonia Trail system. We plan on returning again in 2006, and hosting our “Breakfast at Silverwood” on Sunday mornings. It was at Silverwood we met Kris Allen and Stephen Cooper of Lamplight Equestrian Center, and made arrangements to add several Lamplight shows in 2006.
