Las Vegas World Cup Final - After the Show Carol Gordon - Accounting Smart Pak Equine - I was there and agree completely with Axel Steiner. The top three rides were phenomenal but it was generally agreed by the audience that Gal should be first, McDonald second and Van Grunsven third. It was somewhat disappointing to see the results differ from “our” reality. But overall, it was a fabulous experience. The music in the freestyles was expressive and fit the test and the horse. The technical aspects of the movements were correct and exact. I was particularly impressed with the choreographed music for the regular Grand Prix tests. Each piece seemed to be chosen to fit the respective horse, the musical transitions flowed seamlessly between gaits and there was a theme to each composition that was easy to follow. My very favorite memory was actually the vaulting demonstration. I have seen vaulting several times before but nothing as amazing as the acrobatics that we saw that day! |
