The USEF Annual Convention Is Just Beginning

January 12, 2005 – Louisville, KY -- I’m typing from Louisville, KY where I’ll be spending the next few days covering the USEF’s annual Convention. Since the PR division of the USEF will update you with the basic news, I’ll look for some fun stuff and hot topics to talk about. If you have any particular interests feel free to email me (dderosa1@optonline.net) to ask questions or request a specific focus. I’m looking forward to spending the next few days with the readers of horsesdaily.com. These Convention days can be a bit long and with so many meetings happening at once it means picking and choosing what to cover.

I just returned from the Welcome Reception where I met up with Brian Sosby, who handles Equestrian, the USEF official publication. Charlene Strickland was also there. Both Charlene and I worked together during WEG in Spain to bring you all the action from Jerez. Tony Hitchcock, Executive Director of the Hampton Classic Horse Show and many other people were there as well, including well known dressage rider Anne Gribbons. Everyone was taking a short breather enjoying food and conversation in preparation for the next very full days which lie ahead.

So, join me as I uncover what they tell me will be some major changes soon to take place at the USEF.
