The organiser of the World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen 2004, the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V. (ALRV) drew an extremely positive balance. "From an organisational point of view everything ran very smoothly", ALRV Vice-President, Klaus Peters, commented. The organiser was also elated about further huge crowds. With a total of 315,000 visitors (including Sunday at the Soers and the marathon in the Forest of Aachen), the figures of the previous year were slightly exceeded. This was particularly due to the Tuesday and Wednesday, where the number of spectators was clearly higher than the year before. 
With regards to the 2006 World Equestrian Games Aachen: A further two events are scheduled to guarantee optimal preparations. "In September we are organising a test event in endurance riding," commented Baron Wolf von Buchholtz, ALRV Sport Delegate. An eventing test will then follow in the coming year.
