SICAB 2002, Spanish International Horse Show

SICAB Programme

Apart from the warm-up competition for Dressage and also Conformation tests on the first day of the show, the highlight event of the day was the visit of 4000 children from more than 330 colleges and schools who were personally invited to the exhibition by SICAB and were given the opportunity to visit the three exhibition pavilions and enjoy a show especially put on for them. The organisers claimed "it proved a great success for the next generation of equestrian aficionados" and most returned with their parents over the weekend.

In the two Dressage tests of the first day of the show, the stud farms with the most competing horses were Lovera and Maipe with two horses each respectively. This year the number of participants has risen to 48 horses, and has proved to be the most popular discipline for the PRE (Pure Race Spanish) horses.
