Caitlin Ziegler Wins in Jumpers & Hunters at WEF

Wellington, FL - Caitlin Ziegler won in both jumpers and hunters Saturday at the CN Winter Equestrian Festival presented by Zimmerman Advertising at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

Caitlin, 13, of Mequon, Wis. rode Caretino, her first jumper, to victory in the $1,500 Children's Jumper Classic 13 and Under.

The win came exactly a year after she first competed and won on the nine-year-old brown gelding that was bought from Canadian Grand Prix rider Eric Lamaze. She and Caterino, owned by Caitlin and Artisan Farms, have been consistently in the ribbons throughout the 2008 WEF circuit.

Caitlin also won Saturday on her nine-year-old brown gelding, Africa, in the Large Junior Hunters 15 and under. Their accumulated scores also won the pair champion of the division. Africa was bought at the start of WEF and has been shown only a few times. Caitlin trains with Cookie Beck of Milwaukee.
