Jennifer Reid and Playtime Win in Adult Hunters at Winter Equestrian Festival

Wellington, FL – At this past week’s Bainbridge Florida Classic/WCHR Spectacular, Jennifer Reid of Wellington, FL, rode three horses to ribbons in the Adult Amateur 18-35 Hunter division.

On Playtime, Reid won the first over fences class offered in the Adult Amateur 18-35 Hunter division. They finished the division with solid performances and capped it off with a score of 81.5 in the Peggy Cone Memorial Adult Hunter Classic on Sunday. The classic had over 60 entries.

Playtime, known as "Charlie" in the barn, is a nine-year-old Warmblood gelding that is owned by Stacy Scott of Ohio. Playtime is for sale, and Reid hopes to find a rider that will match the horse.

Reid’s trainer, Gary Duffy of Little Brook Farm, is pleased with their progression. "We got Charlie to lease him for the season for Jennifer," he explained. "He’s very smooth. When my rider and my horse are smooth, we win. He’s really had a nice circuit so far."

Duffy went on to explain what makes Playtime a talented hunter. "He has a beautiful jumping effort and a nice stride. That’s what Jennifer really likes about him. He crosses the jump nicely with a perfect arc and canters right down to the next jump," he described.

In addition to Playtime, Reid rode Jiminy Crickett II and Sweet Emotion to top ribbons in the adult hunters.

Reid and the horses of Bainbridge Farm will compete next at the Zada Enterprises LLC Wellington Masters on February 28-March 4, 2007.
