Masters Division Filled with Tradition as The Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic Crowns New Champion

Louise Batista, Sales Director at The World, Jessica Estrada On Ship Sales and Winner of the Masters Elisabeth Clarke LaMotte on her horse Sky High. Tracey Emmanuel Photography South Hamilton, Massachusetts-The Masters Division brought to you by The World is always a highlighted division at the Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic. Reigning champion and the original founder of the Jumper Classic, Don Little of Ipswich, usually knows how to use home field advantage to be crowned champion. This year however, the competition was tough and Little was surpassed in the competition, with top honors going to Elisabeth Clarke LaMotte and her horse Sky High. Lamotte sealed the deal with her first place ribbon in the $2,000 Master's Classic presented by The World this afternoon.

For the past 3 years, The World has been the Sponsor of the Division, which offers over $5,000 in prize money throughout the week. The Masters Division is open to riders 35 and up who are of amateur status. When the Master's classes began here in South Hamilton in 1996 it was just a group of locals, now the division attracts riders from all over the country.

"We have had great success as Sponsor of the Master's Division here at The Jumper Classic, said Louise Batista Sales Director for The World." "The equestrians we have met and worked with have discriminating taste. They not only want the best for their horses but they deserve the best for themselves. The World offers the finest luxury residences at sea. When they have completed their heavy competition schedules, they can then choose where in the world they would like to go to relax and leave the details to us", added Batista.

Since Little founded the show it has grown into the premier AGA sanctioned horseshow in the North Shore under the tutelage of President Melissa Lovasco. Lovasco has assembled a team that has transitioned the event from a horse show of local flair to one of the most elite venues on the circuit.

The Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic continues tomorrow with the $10,000 Mohegan Sun Speed Stake followed by the finale with the $75,000 Fidelity Investments AGA Grand Prix. Gates open at 11:00 a.m. and tickets are available at the gate. For more information please visit www.jumperclassic.com.
