Alexa Weeks and Riane Triumph in Amateur Owner Jumper Classic

Wellington, FL - February 12, 2005 - Saturday morning’s main event was the $10,000 High Amateur Owner Jumper Classic, also scored under Table II Sec 2 (a), Time First Jump Off. The Internationale Arena’s first class of the day featured a starting field of 45 top Amateur Owner jumper riders. 15 competitors negotiated the first round challenge without penalty. 12 riders had one knockdown in the first round, while five had two rails. One competitor was clean with one time fault.

Of the 15 that qualified for the jump-off against the clock with clean first rounds, only five managed to produce double clear performances.

Alexa Weeks and Riane were the fastest of the five, crossing the finish line in 36.856 seconds, 7/10ths of a second faster than second place finisher Danielle Torano and Labelle, who galloped home in 37.602 seconds.

Rory Hovell and Quelle Damme Van De Heffi were third with a clean go in 38.477 seconds. Marley Goodman rode Cacique to a fault free fourth place finish in 39.310 seconds. Fifth place went to Madonna and Katherine Miracle in 41.150 seconds.

The sixth and seventh place finishers each had the time to win but had a knockdown in the tiebreaker to finish with four faults each. Sixth was Reddy Teddy and Paige Johnson in 35.671 seconds and seventh went to Go West and Sarah Segal in 36.285 seconds.
