FACTS
- Edward Gal and Geldnet Lingh rode a most convincing
test with spectacular extensions accompanied by
cheerings of the crowd, but the control and dedication
of Keltec Salinero did it! He and Anky van Grunsven
defended their title succesfully in the most emotional
and best visited Final the World Cup has ever
seen!
- The new 'Motown' freestyle of 2003 World Cup
winner Debbie McDonald with Brentina brought the
audience to singing and clapping on the song RESPECT
of Aretha Franklin, rewarded with some 9's for
the artistic part
- "I think see has found her Black Pearl", the
commentator said after Leslie Morse finished her
thrilling freestyle with Kingston on music of
the Pirates of the Caribean
- Enlightened Andalusian horses and an impressive
lightshow and firework set the Thomas and Mack
Center already on fire before the World Cup Final
started
- The Las Vegas winner was also rewarded with
a Ford pickup
- The wonderful atmosphere and well performance
of her horse Renoir-Unicef caused a spontanious
and not planned 'one hand ridden last centerline
piaffe and passage' by Ann-Kathrinn Linsenhoff,
being rewarded with the victory in the B-final
- The organisers of the Malaysian World Cup Final
2006 Showjumping took the opportunity to ask support
for the important tsunami-equestrian help that
is badly needed by their neighbour countries.
