October 16, 2006 FEI World Masters of Reining Championships and Western International Reining Festival Begins Tomorrow in Denver (Denver, Colorado – From the Western International) - For the first time in history, world-class reining comes to Denver. More than 30,000 spectators and 500 horses from four continents are expected to take part in the International Equestrian Federation World Masters of Reining Championships and the Western International Reining Festival. The Western International runs Oct. 17-22 at the National Western Complex. A renowned international competition, the Western International Reining Festival offers more than $250,000 in prize money during the Western International. The six-day event includes the FEI World Reining Masters Finals, National Reining Horse Association Mountain Region Affiliate Championship Finals, $10,000 Mile-High Derby, $40,000 Stallion Select Futurity and $10,000 Challenger’s Cup Freestyle Reining, as well as a western trade show and historical exhibit.
