Smart Crackin Chic Wins Snaffle Bit Futurity Sale Incentive

Each entry at this year’s National Reined Cow Horse Association Open Snaffle Bit Futurity that sold during the 2005 2-Year-Old Select Sale was eligible for the Futurity Sale Incentive. The Incentive offered a check for $24,125 to the top horse advancing to the Finals and Tuesday, September 26, Todd Crawford and Smart Cracking Chic secured that check.

Todd, from Blanchard, Oklahoma, and Smart Crackin Chic marked a 218.5 in the herd work preliminaries, a 218 in the rein work and a 217.5 down the fence to win the incentive. Smart Crackin Chic, a mare by Smart Chic Olena and out of Kwackin, was consigned to the 2005 sale by Garth Brown and sold to Singleton Ranches of Lamy, New Mexico, for $44,000.
