Posted June 09, 2006 More Non Pro & Open Entries to Qualify for NRBC Finals in 2007! Byars, Oklahoma – The National Reining Breeders Classic has announced an increase in the number of horses that will qualify for the NRBC Finals in 2007. In a meeting in late May, the board voted unanimously for the increases and the new policy will be in place in time for the Tenth Anniversary Show slated for April 16-22 at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas. According to Chris Potter, Vice President of Pro Management, Inc., which manages the NRBC, the 2007 show will feature 30 Open Horses qualifying for the finals, plus 25 Non Pro horses. That’s up five horses in each division. Potter explained, “This is such a tough event – with such high scores needed to qualify for the Open and Non Pro finals and with the increasing number of entries, the NRBC Board felt it was time to raise the number going to the finals.” Getting to the finals is a worthy goal at the National Reining Breeders Classic. Thirtieth place in the 2007 Open Finals will earn $5,000! The National Reining Breeders Classic is the most successful stallion incentive program in reining history. In just nine years, the NRBC has grown to include nearly 300 subscribed stallions and over 16,000 enrolled foals.
