Catherine is an American dressage rider who lives and works in Vechta, Germany. The USDF Region II Grand Prix Champion from 1997, she now represents the USA in competitions throughout Germany and Europe at both the national and international levels, where she has achieved numerous results from materials level through the Grand Prix. With her current top mount, Maximus JSS, the following international results earned Haddad a nomination to the Shortlist for the World Equestrian Games in Aachen 2006: 5th in
Grand Prix Freestyle, Hagen CDI***, April 2006. Haddad moved to Germany in 1993 to train with the world renowned Willi Schultheis. After his untimely death in 1995, she established her own training stable in Vechta where she trains and teaches between commitments in her busy competition schedule. After receiving sponsorship from the Janet S. Schneider Trust in 2002, Haddad trains her top horses under the supervision of Rudolf Zeilinger, former coach of the 1996 Olympian, Michelle Gibson. Zeilinger is a protégé of the late Willi Schultheis. Haddad contributes her advanced technical knowledge of dressage to the systematic training she has received in the Schultheis School over a period of 14 years. She has also earned a B.A. in International Relations with Honors from the James Madison College at Michigan State University and a B.H.S.A.I. certificate of teaching from the British Horse Society in Great Britain.
