“Barn Boots & Baubles” Event to Support Florida Foal Rescue-Tickets Still Available

Loxahatchee, FL- May 20- The Florida Foal Rescue is having a fundraising event, “Barn Boots & Baubles,” to benefit the organization that is determined to save the lives of thousands of foals and their mothers from slaughter. The event will be held on Saturday, May 21, from 7-12 p.m. in Loxahatchee, FL. Tickets are still available to the event and are $75.

The special event will include cocktails, dinner, music, raffle and a silent auction. The proceeds go to Pure Thoughts, Inc. and the Florida Foal Rescue, which is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization. They are dedicated to helping Premarin foals, yearlings and mares that are sent to the slaughterhouse every year.

To date, Pure Thoughts Horsemanship – Florida Foal Rescue has rescued over 89 foals and yearlings from a tortuous death at the slaughterhouse. With the help and contributions of people and the community, they hope to save the lives of over 600 foals and yearlings this year. With enough financial support, the number is endless. There are over 28,000 foals and yearlings at high risk this year and contributions to the cause will help decrease that number.

There are a variety of ways that people can help these wonderful animals. There are opportunities for adoption and sponsorship of horses that are rescued. In addition, donations and membership will help provide for the horses that have been saved.
