The Equestry Hosts a Two Day Clinic with James Shaw on April 9 to 10 - Tai Chi for the Equestrian April 4, 2005 - New Haven, VT - The Equestry in New Haven, VT is pleased to welcome James Shaw on April 9 and 10 for a two day clinic. Mr. Shaw will be sharing his extensive knowledge regarding Tai Chi for the equestrian. All levels of riders are welcome to attend. Mr. Shaw has been a student and instructor of Tai Chi for over twenty years. He applies the wisdom and power of Tai Chi to the bio-mechanics of riding to create true connection between the rider and horse. His upcoming book, ‘Ride from Within: Use Tai Chi to Awaken Your Natural Balance and Connect with Your Horse', will be released this Fall from Trafalgar Square Publishing. Mr. Shaw will cover much of his philosophy over the course of the two day clinic. The following training points will be highlighted during his demonstrations:
The sessions are open to riding and non-riding participants. Saturday's schedule will include three hours of ground work followed by lunch and semi-private lessons for all riders, while non-riding participants audit the lessons. On Sunday, three hours of ground work will be followed by lunch and private lessons for all riders, while non-riders will again audit the lessons.
