Names The Senior 'Elite' Dressage Tour
The United States Equestrian Team (USET) has named the four horse and rider combinations to participate on the 1999 USET Senior Dressage Tour. The following riders will compete at CDI Munich, Germany, May 13-16; CDI Wiesbaden, Germany, May 21-24; and CDIO Aachen, Germany, June 15-20: Susan Blinks of Mt. Kisco, NY on Fritz and Renate Kundrun's Flim Flam; Robert Dover of Flemington, NJ with Jane F. Clark's Everest; Steffen Peters of Escondido, CA riding Lila and Bob Kommerstad's Grandeur; and Guenter Seidel of Del Mar, CA with Dick and Jane Brown's Foltaire. The horses in the USET Senior Dressage Tour had to compete in at least two of the following USET qualifying competitions by April 20, 1999 to be eligible for the Dressage Senior Tour: February
12 - 14, 1999 Southern Comfort, Clarcona, FL Riders had to complete a Grand Prix and a Grand Prix Special at one qualifier and a Grand Prix and a Grand Prix Freestyle at another qualifier. Scores from all Grand Prix classes entered, regardless of whether or not the Grand Prix Freestyle or Grand Prix Special was completed, were used in calculating the overall average scores. Following
the competition of the qualifying procedure, the USET Dressage Committee
presented the USET Executive Board with the top four horse and rider
combinations for final approval. The top four departed for Europe on
May 1st and will return after CDIO Aachen in mid June. Related Links
