Lincoln, Nebraska (March 1998)
Kiefer Built, designated as the "official Trailer of the United States Dressage Federation" (USDF) in 1996, will continue its partnership with USDF in 1998. Because of that partnership, one lucky USDF year-end award winner will take home a brand new Kiefer Built Windrider walk-through, two-horse, bumper pull aluminum trailer. The trailer recipient is drawn from the year-end winners in the following categories: USDF Horse of the Year, Adult Amateur, Junior/Young Rider, and Vintage Cup. The winner's names will be drawn at the 1998 Annual Awards Banquet and they will have the trailer for one year's use, with an option to buy at a discounted price.

USDF Executive Director Robin Gifford had this to say regarding the sponsorship, "I am exited to continue to offer this excellent benefit to our members."

As the "Official Trailer of USDF," Kiefer Built offers a special graphics package to USDF members when they order a trailer. Included with the special paint job is the USDF logo, available at no extra cost.

Arden Kiefer founded Kiefer Welding in 1973 as a welding repair shop. After a year, Kiefer Welding became Kiefer Built, Inc. and the decision to break into the livestock trailer market was made. By the mid 1980;s the company expanded from a 2,000 sq. foot working area to a 150,000 sq. foot production facility. Product likes continued to expand to include both pull-type and gooseneck style trailers in steel construction. In 1988, Kiefer Built introduced its new aluminum series livestock trailers. Outgrowing current production capabilities, a new division, Kiefer Industrial, was created to manufacture flatbed and industrial trailers, primarily catering to utility, agricultural and construction markets.

The United States Dressage Federation (USDF) is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation made up of more than 36,000 members throughout all 50 states and serves as the national voice of the dressage community. Through volunteer directors, committee members and an office staff headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska, USDF promotes dressage, provides education, and rewards excellence in dressage competition performance. Membership in USDF is achieved by joining one of the more than 130 affiliated dressage groups, or by joining USDF directly to receive additional benefits of membership.
