AQHA'S Online Records Score Big With Internet Users
More
PINs Issued, More Records Debut
AMARILLO,
Texas - The American Quarter Horse Association's online records area,
dubbed "For Members" at www.aqha.com,
continues to be the most popular stopping point on AQHA's Web site.
Through July 15, 145,343 personal identification numbers (PINs) have
been issued, and with more than 30 detail records now available, surfers
are hitting the site in droves.
AQHA Members
receive their first $10 of Internet records free each month and can
purchase additional records once they have used their monthly allotment.
The Association's "For Members" area debuted in May 1999 and
since that time (through July 16), Members have received more than $3.1
million in free Internet online records.
"I
believe people are recognizing the value and benefit of AQHA's Internet
online records and the usefulness of our Web site," said Tammy
Garrison AQHA's Director of Customer Service. "Since 1999, we have
sold more than 47,000 Memberships online, and we are continuing to develop
more ways for AQHA Members to interact with us."
In 2000,
AQHA introduced online stallion breeding report filing where stallion
owners could file their breeding reports and transmit them electronically
to AQHA. Additionally, Members can search AQHA's database of Incentive
Fund-nominated stallions for assistance with breeding, obtain leaders
lists for showing and racing and even research potential foal names
which can help streamline the registration process.
Each month,
AQHA's Web site consistently logs more than 30,000 unique users. That
has led to a decrease in the number of phone calls that Customers have
had to make to AQHA when they want to obtain specific information. As
a result, AQHA's Customer Service Representatives have been able to
enhance its support for Members, Customers and other departments within
the Association. This has been a goal for Customer Service since it
was formed in1992.
Between
now and the end of 2001, AQHA will introduce more records to its Web
site, including catalogue-style pedigrees for show horses.
Customers
who do not have access to the World Wide Web can call AQHA and order
various records. To order records, call AQHA's Customer Service Department
at 806-376-4811. For more information on AQHA's Web site or to obtain
a PIN visit www.aqhamembers.com/members.html.
