Jane MacElree of Colora, MD and Shelia Varian of Arroyo Grande, CA have been named as recipients of the USA Equestrian Ellen Scripps Davis Memorial Breeder's Cup Award. MacElree is the owner of Hilltop Farm and a successful breeder of sport horses. Varian is a successful breeder of champion Arabians. They will be presented with their awards Friday, January 11, 2002 at the USA Equestrian Pegasus Dinner during the USA Equestrian Annual Meeting in Charlotte, NC.

The Ellen Scripps Davis Memorial Breeder's Cup was established in 1999 to recognize an individual who consistently breeds outstanding show horses. The award, acknowledged with a commemorative sterling silver, honors the role unique breeding enterprises have in the development and improvement of show horses.
